Afcon 2025Q: Rurisa Patience Fidele appointed match referee for Ghana vs. Niger qualifier

Rurisa Patience Fidele from Rwanda has been appointed as the centre referee for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Group F qualifier between Ghana and Niger.

Fellow Rwandans Dieudonne Mutuyimana (Assistant Referee I) and Didier Ishimwe (Assistant Referee II) will work to assist Rurisa, while Jean Claude Ishimwe will serve as the Fourth Official.

A FIFA-listed referee, Fidele boasts extensive experience officiating in various international and continental competitions, including the CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup, and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Notably, he was part of the refereeing team for the Africa U23 Cup of Nations in 2019 and has also officiated matches in Rwanda’s top-tier league, the Rwanda Premier League.

The match is scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 16:00 GMT
