The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has issued a press release to disassociate itself from recent comments made by its chairman, Mr. Kudjoe Fianoo, during several radio interviews.
In a formal statement, the GHALCA Executive Committee (EXCO) clarified that while they respect Mr. Fianoo’s right to express his personal opinions on football matters, they stress the need to separate these from the official stance of the association.
In the press release, GHALCA made it clear that it has no intention of moving against Mr. Fianoo due to his comments and emphasized the need for differentiation between personal views and official communications.
The EXCO reaffirmed its position as a key stakeholder in Ghana football, especially in its efforts to support the improvement of the Black Stars.
The GHALCA EXCO also took the opportunity to express its appreciation to former Chairman Alhaji Ali Raji for his role in mediating certain issues within the organization.

PRESS RELEASE
The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) wishes to disassociate itself from the recent radio interviews granted by the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Kudjoe Fianoo, as follows:
1. That the EXCO has no problem with Mr. Fianoo expressing his personal opinions on any issue in Ghana Football though, there is a thin line between his personal opinion and what he expresses on behalf of the Association.
2. That GHALCA EXCO has no intention to stage a coup against him for expressing his personal views on recent happenings in Ghana Football.
3. That on 24th September this year, the Chairman led the EXCO to meet with the Parliamentary Select Committee on Youth and Sports and presented a paper on finding solutions to the poor performance of the Black Stars.
GHALCA as a major stakeholder would do everything within its capacity to continue to support efforts to bring Ghana Football back to its rightful place.
The EXCO wishes to express its profound gratitude to Alhaji Ali Raji, immediate past Chairman of GHALCA, for his effort in mediating the thorny issues in the EXCO.
