Samartex gaffer Nurudeen Amadu dreams of foreign move for Isaac Afful

Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu is hoping for a foreign transfer for left-back Isaac Afful after his Black Stars call-up for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan this month.

Ghana will take on Sudan this month in Rounds 3 and 4 in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Afful is one of the two Ghana Premier League players handed call-ups by Ghana coach Otto Addo for the upcoming encounters.

Nurudeen Amadu believes the call-up will herald a new chapter in Afful’s life after his exploits in the 2024/25 Caf Champions League.

“It means we have been doing something good. With training his consistency, he’s also been hard working and we wish him all the best.

“We are all praying for him and we are all behind him. We wish that from there he should even land a contract in Europe and live away because he deserved to be there.

“So We wish him all the best and we believe he will reach higher heights soon,” Coach Nurudeen Amadu concluded.

Ghana faces Sudan on October 10 at the Accra Sports Stadium and a return encounter in Libya, four days later.
