Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hailed the impact of midfielder Thomas Partey, describing him as a vital player for the team.
“He’s a key player for us, a massive presence, and we can see that week in, week out,” Arteta said at a pre-match interview.
The Ghanaian international returned from his summer break in excellent condition, according to Arteta.
“The way he came back post-holidays was probably the best shape he’s ever been in. Now it’s about managing him properly.”
Partey has featured in all six of Arsenal’s Premier League matches this season, scoring one goal in the victory against Aston Villa.
His consistent performances have been central to Arsenal’s strong start to the campaign.
