2024/25 GPL: Asante Kotoko beats Nsoatreman to record second league victory

Asante Kotoko recorded a narrow victory in their outstanding match-week 2 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League game against Nsoatreman at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Issaka Mohammed’s own goal in the 47th minute granted Kotoko the win as they bagged their second triumph after four match-weeks.

The first half produced a barren result despite quality from the two sides with Kotoko much of the ball possession but a resolute Nsoatreman defence kept them at bay.

The Porcupines held on to win the game, further strengthening their ambitions of winning the league title.

Kotoko registered their maiden victory against Karela United on match-week one via Albert Amoah’s first half strike and the victory grants them 8 points in the legue standings.

The Porcupines have recorded two draws in their other two league games; 1-1 results against Young Apostles and Berekum Chelsea.

Nsoatreman, on the other hand, have two outstanding games against Accra Lions and Chelsea.

Their next encounter is against Legon Cities at the Nana Koramansah Park at Nsoatre.
