Nations FC have targeted playing in 2025/26 Caf competitions – Comms Director Clement Appiah

Communications Director of Nations Football Club, Clement Opoku Appiah says the club’s aim for this season is to triumph on titles and qualify for continental football.

The Abrankese-based outfit wants to either clinch the Ghana Premier League or the MTN FA Cup to achieve their ambitions of featuring in the Caf Champions League or Confederation Cup.

Appiah Opoku ‘Tita’ was speaking in an interview with Promise Radio ahead of their crucial match-week four clash with Hearts of Oak.

“Last season was out maiden campaign so we focused on avoiding relegation in the league as a newly-promoted team and we achieved that.

“The top heriarchy believed we could have even won the league or finished in the top two but whatever happened was to motivate us for this new campaign.”

The Communications Chief continued: “Now our target is to go beyond Ghana and market our football in Africa. And the only path to achieve that is to win a competitive trophy this season.

“We are competing on all fronts. We want to play in any of the two Caf competitions next season.”

Nations FC defeated Aduana 2-1 in Dormaa on match-week three and a victory against Hearts will certainly improve their standing in the GPL standings.

The Winning is Within side have recorded five points from their three games so far; goalless stalemates with Young Apostles and Bechem United, and a win against the Fire boys, Aduana.
