Legon Cities: Assistant coach Nana Acheampong and Ishmael Amoah post-match reaction on Vision FC draw

Legon Cities Assistant Coach, Nana Kwadwo Acheampong sat with the media after their 2024/25 Ghana Premier League game against Vision FC.

The Royals held the Eewo lads to a 1-1 stalemate at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on match-week three.

Coach Acheampong highlighted his side’s impressive display in the game and looks ahead for the game against Karela United.

On initial thoughts:

NKA: “We started very well. I am so impressed with the performance of my players. We created decent chances today and should have killed the game before the first half break.

“And you know that in football, you’ll be punished by your opponents if you don’t take your chances.”

On the goal from Ishmael Amoah

NKA: “It’s a decent strike. Great run and lovely finish. On his day, he’s unplayable.”

On what this point means for the Royals

NKA: “We needed points badly after going two games without a win, we wanted the three points today but unfortunately, we got a point.

“Not bad but looking at the performances we put up, I think it’s sad we are leaving with just a point.”

On the next home game against Karela

NKA: “We will go in with everything we have. After 3 matches, we deserve to be up there at the top half of the table with the maximum points.”

Ishmael Amoah also shared his thoughts after the encounter.

“I’m happy to score a goal today but disappointed we didn’t take the three points home. We will regroup and focus on our game against Karela.

“Also, I’m a striker who loves to make the defenders suffer, provide aggression in attack and I will look to build more on this as the season progresses.”

Legon Cities face Karela United in their next Ghana Premier League game. The draw away against Vision FC is their first point of the campaign.

The Royals lost 2-1 to Gold Stars in Bibiani and suffered a 0-1 defeat against Medeama in Accra.
