Afcon 2025Q: Sergeant Lamin Jammeh to lead Gambian officials for Niger vs Ghana

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has appointed Lamin N. Jammeh to lead a team of Gambian referees for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier between Niger and Ghana.

The match, scheduled for Monday, September 9, 2024, will be played at Stade Municipal Berkane in Morocco due to Niger’s lack of a Caf-approved venue in their home country.

Jammeh, a sergeant, will serve as the centre referee, with Abdul Aziz Bollel Jawo and Omar Darboe as his first and second assistants, respectively.

Baboucarr Alhasan Bass, also from The Gambia, has been named the Fourth Official.

The Match Commissioner for this encounter will be Burkina Faso’s Moussa Dahani, while Guinea’s Aboubacar Doumbouya will act as the Referees’ Assessor.

This game marks the second fixture for both teams in Group F of the qualifiers. Prior to this match, Ghana will have faced Angola, and Niger will have played Sudan in their opening games.

Kickoff is set for 16:00 GMT.
