2024 U-20 WWC: Black Princesses to face Mexico in friendly ahead of tournament

Ghana’s Black Princesses will take on Mexico’s U-20 women’s team in an international friendly on Thursday, August 22 as part of their preparations for the 2024 Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The match, scheduled for 3:30 pm local time (20:30 GMT), will be held at the Centro Deportivo Choquenza in Bogota, Colombia.

Both teams will use the fixture to gauge their readiness for the upcoming World Cup, which kicks off on August 31.

This friendly will provide the Black Princesses, who have been training in Bogota since their early arrival, an opportunity to fine-tune their strategies and build cohesion ahead of their opening match against Austria on September 2.

Mexico, similarly, will look to test their squad’s form and adaptability before their World Cup campaign begins.

The game is expected to be a crucial test for both teams as they aim to make a strong impact in the tournament.
