Brighton & Hove Albion’s Ibrahim Osman to join Feyenoord on season-long loan

Brighton & Hove Albion have finalized a deal to loan 19-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Osman to Dutch Eredivisie club Feyenoord for the upcoming season.

Osman, who recently signed a five-year contract with Brighton after transferring from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland, was part of the Premier League club’s pre-season squad and made several appearances.

Despite his promising start, the decision has been made to send Osman on loan to further his development.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the loan agreement does not include a purchase option, with Brighton set to cover Osman’s full wages during his time in the Netherlands.

The young midfielder is expected to undergo a medical on Tuesday, followed by an official presentation at Feyenoord on Wednesday.

Osman made a significant impact during his tenure in Denmark, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in 26 appearances for FC Nordsjaelland.

The loan to Feyenoord is viewed as a strategic move to provide him with valuable playing experience, following in the footsteps of fellow Brighton players Kaoru Mitoma and Simon Adingra, who also honed their skills on loan before breaking into the first team.
