Caf Womens CL Q: Hasaacas Ladies wary of complacency in Abidjan 2024 showdown

Hasaacas Ladies assistant coach, Emmanuel Mensah, has urged his side to be wary of complacency ahead of the 2024 WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Ghanaian champions competr against Edo Queens of Nigeria, Omnisports Etincelle of Burkina Faso and AS Garde National of Niger in Group B.

Hasmal touched down in Cote d’Ivoire, Friday, ahead of their participation in the qualifiers set to start on Saturday, August 10 and end August 23.

“So for me, I think that a lot of people will be casting the toss in our favor that we are the favorite. And that shouldn’t give room for us to, you know, be very content,” Mensah told Joy Sports.

“I think that there are new clubs that are looking forward to make name in Africa. And so for me, I think it has always been Nigeria-Ghana.

“Nigeria-Ghana as far as the Champions League is concerned. So Edo Queens definitely will be one of the teams to look out for. But for me, a team from Burkina Faso and Nigeria, we don’t underestimate them.

“We will go all out and pick all three points so far as every match is concerned.”
