Ghana set for key AFCON qualifier against Angola in Kumasi

Ghana’s 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in September.

The Black Stars are set to face the Sable Antelopes on Thursday, 5 September 2024, before heading to Niger for their second Group F match on Monday, 9 September 2024.

Under the guidance of Otto Addo, the team is currently on a positive run, having secured victories against Mali and the Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The match against Angola is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 GMT at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. Ghana’s Group F opponents include Sudan, Angola, and Niger.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the 35th Africa Cup of Nations, to be held in Morocco next year.
