The home side’s dominance was evident throughout the match, highlighting their determination to clinch a spot in the upcoming AFCON tournament.
A win in the return leg in Ivory Coast next weekend would seal their qualification.
Having finished seventh in the 2015 and 2016 CAF Beach Soccer Championships, Ghana is eager to surpass the group stage this year.
The Black Sharks will travel to Abidjan for the second leg, scheduled for July 26-28, 2024.
