The Black Stars of Ghana will assemble in South Africa on Sunday, December 31 to begin preparations for the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations.
Africa’s flagship football competition commences next year, January 13 and ends February 14 in Cote D’Ivoire.
Head coach Chrris Hughton has planned to camp for ten days in the South African city of Johannesburg before the trip to the West African state.
Also, Ghana will play a friendly match against Botswana on Monday, January 8, 2024 before flying to Abidjan two days later for the tournament.
The Technical team wishes to announce that the training sessions are not open to the public/media.
The Black Stars are paired in Group B alongside giants Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique. Ghana opens the campaign against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14.

The men’s senior national team will then face record holders Egypt on Thursday, January 18 before playing Mozambique in the final Group B game on Monday, January 22, 2024.
