Ghana’s Rita Ama Boateng-Nkansah has been designated as centre referee for the first leg of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying decider between Nigeria and Cape Verde.
The Super Falcons, nine-time African champions, are set to host the crucial match at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Thursday, November 30.
The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has entrusted this significant encounter to a Ghanaian refereeing team, led by Rita, the country’s newest Fifa central official. She achieved her international officiating status in January 2023, marking her as a rising star in refereeing circles.

Assisting Rita on the lines will be fellow Ghanaians Doris Essuman Darko as Assistant I and Alice Farizua Chakule as Assistant II.
