2024 WWCQ: Juliet Appiah to head Ghanaian referee team for Mali vs Ethiopia clash

A quartet of Ghanaian referees, headed by Juliet Appiah, is set to officiate when Mali hosts Ethiopia in the forthcoming penultimate round of the African qualifiers for the 2024 Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup.

This first-leg match is scheduled to take place in the Malian capital, Bamako, at 16:30 GMT on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Juliet, a 38-year-old police officer, has been entrusted with the role of the centre referee for this important encounter by the appointments body of the Confederation of African Football (Caf).

Assisting her on the sidelines will be her compatriots, Doris Darko Essuman (Assistant I) and Patricia Kyeraa (Assistant II).

Barikisu Chisu Salifu, also hailing from Ghana, will serve as the Fourth Official.

Aissatou Françoise Seck, from Senegal, will preside as the Match Commissioner.
