Asante Kotoko IMC calls on club sponsors

Asante Kotoko’s new Interim Management Commmittee endured a busy Wednesday, visiting the club’s sponsors as part of the mandate to maintain the business relationship ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The Committee were led by Manhyia Chief of Staff, Mr. Kofi Badu.

The IMC visited Access Bank, Hisense, Starlife to rekindle their partnership between the two brands, as well as other potential new businesses so as to improve the revenue of the club.

Kotoko’s sponsorship agreement with Hisense ended in the 2022/23 season and the IMC will hope the meeting today will bring the electrical appliance firm on board again.

For Starlife, the Porcupines have a five-year agreement which began in the 2020/21 campaign.

Furthermore, Access Bank’s partnership with Kotoko, which produced the 2021 Volvo bus, was signed in 2022 and will end in 2024.

Meanwhile, the club has settled the salary arrears of the playing body and technical team.

Kotoko’s coaches had not been paid for five months while the players were owed in the last four months.
