Bechem pick up first win, defeating Kotoku Royals

Bechem United won their first game of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season, defeating newly-promoted Kotoku Royals 1-0 Sunday afternoon.

It was game number 3 and with zero points for the Hunters on match-day 4 while the visitors from Akyem Oda headed for the Fosu Gyeabour Park high on confidence with 4 points

The two sides battled to a 0-0 stalemate in the opening half.

But six minutes into the second half, the dominant Bechem side broke the deadlock through Cephas Kofi Mantey.

And that was the only goal the game could produce.

Bechem United’s new signing Seth Kwadwo was adjudged man-of-the-match.

With the first win of the campaign grabbed, Bechem will be clearing their outstanding match-day 2 fixture at home against Asante Kotoko on Thursday, November 3.
