10-man Medeama suffer Aduana defeat at home

Aduana FC stunned Medeama SC at the Tarkwa Akoon Park to claim their second straight win on the road in a 2022/23 Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day 4 clash on Sunday.

Youngster Godfred Poku Wakii made the difference for the two-time league champions, putting away a chance in the 20th minute.

Medeama threw all their arsenals in the chase for the equaliser while Aduana managed to stay resolute at the back to repel their several attacks.

The task became more daunting for the Mauve and Yellows right at the start of the second half when right-back Kwadwo Amoako got sent off by referee Julian Nunoo.

The solitary-goal victory takes Aduana to the top of the league standings with 10 points from four games. Medeama SC, on the other hand, have 6 points.

Man-of-the-match was Aduana FC centre-back Stephen Anokye Badu.
