Ghana forward Felix Afena-Gyan netted his maiden goal for new club U.S. Cremonese in a 4-2 Coppa Italia extra-time win over 10-man Modena FC Thursday afternoon.
The youngster achieved this feat in his fifth game since joining the club in the summer.
A 22nd-minute red card to Luca Magnino meant the visitors had to endure misery for the remainder of the game at Stadio Zini.
But Cremonese will not score until Nigerian-born Okereke broke the deadlock with a header in the 77th minute.
Then arrived Afena-Gyan’s moment as the young attacker’s predatory instincts came to bear with a connection from close range after an initial free-kick came off the bar and landed just before him six minutes from time. Watch goal:

Drama ensued as Modena cancelled the 2-0 deficit with quickfire goals from Davide Diaw – a penalty in the 89th minute and then in the following minute, an incredible equaliser with a precise left-footed shot from the center of the area that left no chance for the Cremonese goalkeeper.
Cremonese would then snatch the victory in extra time.
