Serbian Slavko Matić is set to take up the vacant Hearts of Oak head coach job.
The 46-year-old ex-footballer and Uefa Pro License holder only last Sunday (October 9) parted ways with Bulgarian topflight newcomers Septemvri Sofia.
Hearts have been in the market for a head coach since relieving Samuel Boadu of his duties after an 18-month spell.
Sources indicate that it was the contact from the Phobians that influenced Matić’s decision to quit Septemvri few days after returning from a 3-day break to renew his Pro coaching license in Bosnia and Hezegovinian capital Sarajevo.

Coach Matić reportedly arrived in Accra Tuesday (October 11) night to wrap up his agreement to coach Hearts.
Once announced Slavko Matić is expected to work with local man David Dickson Ocloo as assistant coach.
Ocloo – who was appointed just last week – is leading Hearts of Oak in their 2022/23 Caf Confederation Cup with AS Real de Bamako this Sunday.
Slavko Matić previously worked as head coach for Sloboda Uzice in his native Serbia and Saudi side Al-Nojoom FC (both short stints between August and November 2020) and a one-month spell with Arda Kardzhali also in Bulgaria.
He took up the Septemvri job on January 9 this year and quit exactly after 10 months.
