Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko will replace their senior team with the youth side for the GHALCA Top 6 competition.
The club’s management plans to embark on a pre-season outside Ghana and that might clash with the timing of the GHALCA tourney.
Multiple sources at the club say, the planned pre-season will offer friendly matches against certain top sides in Africa or Europe in preparation for the Caf Champions League.
Asante Kotoko last camped in Dubai for pre-season and the result was a vitalized unit that conceded 20 goals in the league.
The Porcupines and the Ghana League Clubs Association(GHALCA) are yet to respond to the report.
