King Faisal continued their abysmal run in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) with a 1-0 defeat at home in their outstanding match-day 21 fixture against Berekum Chelsea on Thursday.
The Bibires stole the win at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium with an Owusu Osei effort as early as the 6th minute of the encounter.
Faisal were virtually not up for the fight, struggling to put any meaningful pressure on the visitors for an equalizer.
When the Insha Allah came close in the 82nd minute, forward Zubairu Ibrahim’s effort could not stand for a goal as the referee’s whistle had already gone for offside.
Berekum Chelsea held on to the 1-0 advantage record only their second victory on the road in 12 attempts – the first came against Dreams FC on February 6.
King Faisal have now gone a record 5 consecutive games with defeats to Aduana FC, AshantiGold, Medeama SC, Asante Kotoko and now Berekum Chelsea
With all 23 rounds of games now completed, King Faisal drop to 11th position with 29 points while Berekum Chelsea climb to 8th with 33 points.
