2022 WCQ: We believe in our strategies to overcome Nigeria – Otto Addo

Ghana coach, Otto Addo believes the strategies his team is devising are effective enough to see them qualify for the 2022 Fifa World Cup ahead of Nigeria.

The West African rivals will slug it out for a sole ticket to Qatar in the African qualifying playoffs for this year’s World Cup final tournament.

The former Ghana international was appointed to lead a four-member team for the two games against the Super Eagles after the sacking of Milovan Rajevac.

Speaking ahead of the games, the Germany-born Ghanaian says they want to make Ghanaians proud by qualifying for the World Cup.

“We really want to make ourselves and the nation proud by qualifying for this upcoming World Cup,” Addo said in a first address to Ghanaians.

“Matches between Ghana and Nigeria are always difficult, but we believe in our players, we believe in our strategies.

“We believe in the unflinching support of all Ghanaians as we go into these two matches. We are Ghana and we have what it takes to come out victorious.”

Ghana will host Nigeria at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, March 25 before the reverse fixture in Abuja four days after.
