Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh heaps praise on side after Hearts draw

Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has lauded his side for their quality and talent displayed and in their goalless draw against Hearts of Oak in their match-week seven outstanding game.

The defending champions, playing at their favourite Accra Sports Stadium, failed to reduce the point deficit against Asante Kotoko in a game that saw a limited number of chances on Sunday afternoon.

Kotoko now lead the league log seven points ahead of second-placed Bechem United.

Ogum commended the two sides, for the quality shown in both halves of the clash and looks forward to an improved second round.

“I think we had a good game against a strong opponent today.Both sides looked better defensively and in attack,” the coach said after the game.

“We showed quality and talent in both halves and we need to build on the performance in the first round.

“We got seventeen games more to keep battling for the league title. We will remain focused and fight for everything in the second round.”

The Porcupines will resume their league games against Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko won 3-1 with goals from Salifu Mudasiru, Isaac Oppong and Richmond when both sides met in the first round.
