U-20 WWCQ: Patience Madu to referee Ghana vs Uganda return leg

Referee Ndidiamaka Patience Madu of Nigeria has been appointed to officiate Ghana Black Princesses’ home match against Uganda in the fourth and penultimate round of the African qualifiers to the 2022 Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The Black Princesses welcome the Young Crested Crances to the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Saturday, February 5 in what will be a deciding second leg after travelling to win the first 2-1 in Kitende a fortnight ago.

Patience Madu arrives with three other compatriots – Mimisen Agatha Iyorhe (Assistant I), Beauty Kabeda Terah (Assistant II) and Hannah Elaigwe who will act as Fourth Official.

Souadatou Djallo-Kalkaba from Cameroon will serve as the Match Commissioner while Senegalese Fadouma Dia Dia works as Referees Assessor.

Dr. Christiana Baah from Ghana has also been appointed as the COVID-19 Officer.

The Ghana-Uganda second leg kicks off at 15:00 GMT.

The aggregate winner of this tie advances to the final round of the qualifiers to face that of Tanzania and Ethiopia.

Ghana are seeking a record sixth successive Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup appearance.
