Asante Kotoko continued their firm grip of top spot with a comfortable 2-0 win against Great Olympics to open match-day 15 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) Friday afternoon.
Both goals came through in the first half of the game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
And it was 22-year-old Cameroon striker Franck Thierry Etouga Mbella who scored them in the 9th and 34th minutes respectively.
The brace increased his season’s tally so far to 8 goals.
Asante Kotoko top the Ghana Premier League standings with 33 points from 14 matches played. They have an outstanding game against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak scheduled to be cleared on February 20.
