Hasaacas Ladies continued their dominance over Ampem Darkoa by thrashing them 3-0 to become the first side to reach the final of the maiden Women’s Premier Super Cup Thursday morning.
The already depleted champions came into the first semifinal match at the Madina Zurak Park without influential skipper Janet Egyir who picked up an injury in last Tuesday’s final group game against Kumasi Sports Academy.
On paper, it looked like the best opportunity for Ampem Darkoa to redeem themselves having been beaten in the last two encounters between the sides.
But Ampem Darkoa barely threatened as the young Hasaacas side managed to stop them from using their passing channels for counterattacks.
Success Ameyaa fired the opener in the 26th minute with a shot from outside the box that took a slight deflection off Victoria Osei before beating goalkeeper Safiatu Salifu.
Ten minutes later, striker Veronica Appiah finally broke her duck in the competition with a low shot that crawled into the back of the net to make it 2-0.
The second half produced one more goal with 17-year-old Ameyaa getting back on the scoresheet with her brace in the minute.
Success Ameyaa was named Woman-of-the-match.
🗣 Producing a brace coupled with some brilliant display, Success Ameyaa goes home with the Woman of the Match accolade.
Congratulations, Success 🎊
