A 38-member Hearts of Oak contingent departed Accra for Bechar, Algeria for the club’s 2021/22 Caf Confederation Cup playoffs second leg with JS Saoura.
23 players made up the travelling contingent with the remaining numbers filled by coach Samuel Boadu and his backroom as well as some board/management reps led by Vincent Sowah Odotei.
The Phobians’ travel path will see them make stopovers in Abidjan and then Istanbul before flying into Algiers. After making it to the Algerian capital, Hearts will have to take a 2-hour flight to the city of Béchar which will host the game.
JS Saoura – who lost the first leg 2-0 in Accra – will host the Ghanaian champions at Stade 20 Août 1955 on Sunday, December 5. Kickoff is 16:45 GMT.
