U-20 WWCQ: Black Princesses hold out for 0-0 draw away to Zambia

Ghana pulled off a 0-0 draw away to Zambia in their 2022 Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying third-round first-leg clash Saturday afternoon.

The Young Copper Queens marginally enjoyed the dominance but failed to turn it into goals in front of their sparse home crowd at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

Ghana and Zambia will have it all to play for when they meet for the second leg in Accra on December 18.

But the much more experienced Black Princesses – five-time U-20 World Cup campaigners – will start as favourites to progress to the penultimate round of the qualifiers to Costa Rica 2022.

The aggregate winner will play the victors of the tie between Uganda and South Africa.
