The 2021/22 edition of the MTN FA Cup competition has been approved to commence on Tuesday, November 30.
The oldest domestic cup competition kicks off with the preliminary round which will be played over three days – until Thursday, December 2, 2021.
The Round of 64 follows next from Tuesday, December 21, 2021 to Monday, December 27, 2021.
The Round of 32 games are to be played between the weekends of January 18-20, 2022 with the Round of 16 honoured between the weekends of March 25-28, 2022.
The competition will enter the quarterfinal stage during the weekend of April 12-13, 2022 while the semifinals will be played from May 12-15, 2022.
The grand finale is scheduled for Sunday, June 26, 2022.
The 2020/21 MTN FA Cup season was one of the most exciting editions of the domestic cup competition in recent times. It was won by Hearts of Oak who defeated AshantiGold SC in the final via penalty shootouts.
