Bechem United have announced a free-agent signing that allows former Ghana Premier League MVP and top scorer Augustine Okrah to return to his old stomping ground.
The 28-year-old is back at the Fosu Gyebour Park outfit on a season’s contract.
A statement via the club’s socials Sunday read: ”Bechem United is delighted to confirm the signing of Augustine Okrah.
”The Supercalifragilistic Forward returns to the club on a one-year deal.”
Okrah became a free agent after running down his two-year contract at the end of July. It was his second spell with the Porcupine Warriors, one that did not spark as expected mostly due to recurrent injuries.
In a bid to rediscover his old self, the left-sided diminutive attacker once again chose to reconnect with the past by signing for the Hunters.
I'm back! @BechemUnitedFC is Home!
Made history here by winning GPL Best Player and Goal King.As a Hunter once again, I'm ready to FIRE in what is expected.

Return of a club legend
Bechem United, in their announcement, tagged Okrah a club legend and rightly so for the success he chalked during his first spell.
Okrah joined in the second round of the 2013/14 Ghana Premier League from Kotoko.
Sweetly combining pace and dribbling from the wings, he top-scored for the Hunters with 13 more goals and sealed his season tally at 16 to become the golden boot winner. He was easily adjudged as the Most Valuable Player as a result.
Okrah had a brief – three-month – loan stint with BK Hacken after which he moved on to Sudan to enjoy successful spells with the country’s biggest rivals Al-Merreikh and Al-Hilal between November 2014 and January 2018 before switching to Egypt for a half-season spell with Smouha SC. India’s NorthEast United came calling later in the summer before the knee injury kept him out of action.
He returned to Asante Kotoko in July 2019. Last season, he scored once and provided three assists in 17 appearances for Kotoko.
