Milovan Rajevac pleased with Black Stars’ win over Zimbabwe

Black Stars coach, Milovan Rajevac is satisfied with his side’s performance in the 3-1 victory against Zimbabwe.

The 2022 Fifa World Cup Group G match-day 3 qualifier at Cape Coast began on a bright note when Mohammed Kudus struck to win the first half for Ghana.

Knowlegde Musona equalized via a penalty kick but Thomas Partey and Andre Ayew showed quality as they netted a goal each to continue Ghana’s chase for top spot in the group currently led by South Africa.

For gaffer Milovan Rajevac, the Black Stars showed quality and mentality.

“We had a good game. We started well and wanted to score more but early in the second half, they looked strong in midfield.

“In the second half, it was so difficult to defend the second balls and that’s why I introduced Baba Iddrisu to solidify the defense.

“We are happy but let’s focus on the next game because we must qualify from the group,” Milo said in his post-match conference.

Ghana travel to Harare on Tuesday for their next World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe again.

The victory pushes the Black Stars to six points – one point behind South Africa who beat Ethiopia 3-1 in Addis Ababa.
