PHOTOS: Partey returns to full training for Arsenal after ankle injury

The 28-year-old had been sidelined for the past five weeks.

Ghana international, Thomas Partey has handed Arsenal a major boost after returning to full training.

The 28-year-old midfielder is yet to feature for Mikel Arteta’s side this season after he suffered an ankle injury during a friendly against Chelsea on August 1.

The injury ruled him out of Ghana’s squad for the September international window during which the Black Stars won and lost against Ethiopia and South Africa respectively to start their campaign in the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

Partey took part in Monday’s training session and could be in contention to return for Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Norwich City on Saturday.

Arteta’s side are looking to secure their first points of the new Premier League campaign following a woeful start to the season.

The Gunners are currently bottom of the table after their 5-0 defeat against Manchester City before the international break.
