2021/22 Caf CL: Sory I. Keita leads Mali refs for Kamsar-Hearts first leg

Malian referee Sory Ibrahima Keita will officiate the first leg of the 2021/22 Caf Champions League first preliminary round tie between Club Industriel de Kamsar and Hearts of Oak.

The Guinean topflight side will be hosting the Ghanaian champions at 16:00GMT on Sunday, September 12 at the 50,000-capacity Stade Général Lansana Conté de Nongo.

Per the appointment by Caf, it’s an all-Mali cast for the quartet to manage the match on-field.

Centre-man has been handed countrymen Drissa Kamory Niare (Assistant Referee I), Amadou Belly Guisse Amadou (Assistant II) and Harouna Coulibaly (Fourth Official) to control affairs in the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.

Ivorian Omer Kouamé Dehoule will be the Match Commissioner.

Fadouma Dia DIA from Senegal will serve as the Referee Assessor while Guinean doctor Mohamed Tafsir Soumah acts as COVID-19 Officer.

Hearts will host the second leg at the Accra Sports Stadium the following week – September 19.

The aggregate winner of this tie advances to the second preliminary round to face Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca for a spot in the group stages of the Caf Champions League.
