Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko have unveiled their new home and away kits for the 2021/22 season, with the theme #Ammamerɛ2021.
The Porcupine Warriors, in the coming season, will be donning red shirts and shorts as home colours as well as yellow tops with back shorts for away games.
For the home kit, Kotoko, this time, went purely traditional by combining Adinkra symbols to celebrate their tradition.
Kotoko have numerous Adinkra symbols dominating the front of the shirt produced by their Italian kit sponsors Errea Sport.

AWAY SHIRT
As the new season’s theme #Ammamerɛ2021 goes, the club’s choice of away colours is purely inspired by tradition as well, made with the colours of Asanteman – yellow, black and green.
The yellow shirt has four powerful Adinkra symbols – Aban (Fortress. A symbol of strength, seat of power, authority, and magnificence), Adinkrahene (King of Adinkra. A symbol for authority, leadership, and charisma), Gye Nyame (Except God. A symbol expressing the omnipotence of God) and Nsaa (a symbol of excellence, genuineness, and authenticity) boldly displayed in front.
Also, the club’s logo is replaced by their totem, the Porcupine on both the shirt and black shorts.

The last time the Porcupine Warriors wore the Asanteman colours, they won the MTN FA Cup in 2017 by thrashing arch-rivals Hearts of Oak 3-1 in the finals held at Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.
Asante Kotoko will celebrate its 86th anniversary on Tuesday, August 31.
The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season is expected to start October 29.
