I’m ready for a coaching job in Ghana – Ibrahim Tanko

Former assistant Coach of Cameroon, Ibrahim Tanko has expressed his readiness to handle any football team in the country including the Black Stars.

Tanko, who played for King Faisal and the Black Stars as a striker is unattached since ending his stint with the Indomitable Lions. He has voiced his intentions to return to his home country and pick up a managerial duty.

“It is everyone’s dream to coach his country,” he said to Joy FM Sports.

“I started coaching eight years now. I was in Japan for two years, I was in Cologne, I was in Cameroon for two and a half years.

“So I think I am ready to coach any team in Ghana if the chance is thee. I am not waiting I still have an issue with Cameroon so if we finish, I will know what to do next,” Tanko stated.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker who has been idle since parting ways with the FECAFOOT together with boss, Volke Finker is optimistic of leading the Technical team of the senior national team, the Black Stars someday.

“Oh yes,” Tanko responded to considering the coaching role of the Black Stars.

Tanko holds a UEFA License A badge in coaching and has had coaching stints with FC Freiburg and FC Koln in Germany as assistant coach, as well as Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan.
