Emmanuel Boateng joining Elfsborg on four-year deal

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Boateng has all but joined Swedish topflight side IF Elfsborg.

The transfer – sealed on the Swedish mid-season transfer deadline day – sees the 24-year-old switching from Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Boateng has signed a four-year contract after passing a medical with the six-time Swedish Allsvenskan champions.

But Elfsborg, who are competing in the Uefa Conference League, are expected to confirm the signing of the central midfielder once visa and work permit is sealed.

Emmanuel Boateng arrived in Israel from Aduana FC in 2018. He has since played 76 matches overall and scored thrice for the side.
