#GPLwk28: Dreams down Sharks for 12th win of the season

Dreams FC bounced back to winning ways by overcoming Elmina Sharks 2-0 at home on match-day 28 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

The Believers fell to Liberty the other week and produced a response with a commanding display at Dawu Park Sunday afternoon.

Defender Abdulai Massaudu turned up at the end of a well-worked free-kick routine and opened the scoring with a header in the 25th minute.

Sharks nearly got the equalizer in the 44th minute but goalkeeper Godfred Amoah pulled a great save to deny the visitors and ensure his side kept their 1-0 lead at the break.

Dreams made it 2-0 in the 56th minute through forward Agyenim Boateng Mensah who had the simplest business of tapping in a pass from Ali Huzaif.

A minute from time, Ibrahim Issah thought he had made it 3-0 for Dream only for his effort to be disallowed for a handball decision.

The game finished 2-0 for the ‘Still Believe’ boys who now go 5th in the league standings with 44 points. Elmina Sharks, on the other hand, drop to 15th with 31 points after 28 games.
