Medeama SC left it late to defeat Karela United 1-0 on match-day 28 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) Saturday.
The Nzema derby at Akoon Park was settled by defender Vincent Atingah who header from close range after a corner kick in the 81st minute.
Medeama held on to seal revenge over their Western regional rivals who beat them 2-0 in the corresponding league fixture in January.
Both teams were tied on points prior to the game at Akoon Park. The victory now sees the Mauve and Yellows move above Karela on 46 points after 28 matches.
