Official: Emmanuel Gyamfi signs one-year extension at Kotoko

Long-serving Asante Kotoko forward, Emmanuel Gyamfi has signed a one-year extension to his contract, the Ghana Premier League giants announced Friday.

The winger joined the Porcupine Warriors in an initial two-year free-agent move in 2016. He renewed his stay until May 2021 and has now topped it up by a year.

Gyamfi’s new deal will see him earn GHΒ’4,500 as monthly salary.

Earlier this season, Gyamfi endured massive criticism over his dip in form but has been impressive recently under new coach Mariano Barreto.

The 26-year-old, this season, has made 22 appearances for Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League and scored three goals so far.

Emmanuel Gyamfi’s continuous stay means he remains the second longest-serving player at the club after Felix Annan whom he serves as a deputy captain to.
