Dreams FC lash King Faisal with second-half treble

Dreams FC netted three second-half goals to condemn King Faisal to yet another defeat on match-day 24 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) Wednesday afternoon.

The two sides went into the game at Dawu on the back of defeats from the last.

The opening half ended barren with the major highlight emerging in the 37th minute when Agyenim Boateng Mensah failed to put Dreams FC ahead via a penalty after three attempts.

The Believers, however, turned on the style in the second half.

New signing Abednego Asafo finally broke the deadlock in the 61st minute with his second goal since arriving at Dreams.

Another new boy, Sadat Mohammed, who had come for Huzaif Ali, enjoyed a dream debut as he tapped in Sylvester Simba’s pass to double the lead for the hosts in the 85th minute.

Emmanuel Ocran – the NASCO man-of-the-match winner – then sealed the 3-0 trouncing two minutes from time.

Dreams FC remain 5th on 37 points while King Faisal also stay second from bottom of the league standings with 23.
