Aduana return to winning ways with 3-1 King Faisal rout

Aduana Stars gave out an exciting display in their 3-1 thumping of King Faisal on match-day 19 at Nana Agyeman Badu I Park Sunday afternoon.

First-half injuries forced Aduana into pulling out Alex Boakye and Yahaya Mohammed with Abass Mohammed and Samuel Bioh replacing them respectively.

Benjamin Tweneboah began the rout on the 17th minute and extended the lead for the Fire Boys in the second half before Prince Acquah scored the third.

King Faisal could only make their maiden presence in the encounter with a 92nd-minute strike through Isaac Frimpong.

The victory is Aduana’s seventh of the season and they needed a triumph at home after losing four in their last five games.

Beating King Faisal places them on 7th with their focus now switched to the away duel at Bechem United

For Faisal, the battle to escape relegation is gradually toughening up for them.

Their 17th position in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League standings must improve and they have to get a win against AshantiGold in their next game.
