#GPLwk17: Inter Allies let lead slip in score draw with AshantiGold

Inter Allies stumbled to a 1-1 draw at home against AshantiGold Friday afternoon to bring to an end a difficult first half of their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) campaign.

After surviving an early scare in the opening 5 minutes, Allies slightly controlled the game but didn’t create many clear chances in the sluggish first-half action at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The second half was as hard-fought as the first with both teams scoring to cancel each other out.

Richmond Lamptey came off the bench for Felix Abuska in the 55th minute.

And Inter Allies deservedly broke the deadlock 7 minutes later through substitute Lamptey who fired in a beautiful curler.

But the Miners would rally to tie the match-day 17 encounter.
