Samuel Boadu: I’ve been looking to be Hearts coach for quite long

New Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu says joining the club is a fulfillment of a “quite long” ambition.

The young trainer marked the beginning of a three-and-a-half season journey with the Phobians on Monday, March 1.

Boadu, at his unveiling ceremony held at the World Trade Centre in Accra, promised to put forward his best in achieving the Phobians’ dreams,

“I would like to thank the President and board members of Hearts of Oak for letting me be part of this beautiful family.

“I would like to say may God bless them because I’ve been looking for this opportunity for quite long and this is the time.

“I am proud to call myself the head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak. I will do my very best and work very hard for the club,” he said.

Samuel Boadu was the coach for Ghana Premier League rivals Medeama SC for close to four years before resigning on his birthday last week.

He is expected to lead Hearts in their final game in the first round of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League at home to WAFA SC.
