Aduana FC weathered a late storm to beat Inter Allies 2-1 at home in their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League match-day 16 clash Wednesday afternoon.
It was a return to winning ways for the defending champions after back-to-back defeats. But it was far from a comfortable victory at the Nana Agyeman Badu (NAB ) I Stadium.
A seventh goal of the campaign for striker Yahaya Mohammed put the Ogya Boys into the lead a minute from halftime break.
Aduana appeared to be sealing victory after Emmanuel Adjetey turned Bright Adjei’s effort into his own net in the 61st minute.
Down 2-0, relentless Inter Allies still chased the game.
And in the 80th minute, they had a golden chance to halve the deficit as referee Mohammed Misbaou pointed to the spot after Nigerian import Kuku Kingsley was brought down in the Aduana area.
But moments later, the referee reversed the penalty decision after consulting his assistant and fourth official.
Inter Allies returnee Samuel Armah managed to pull one back in the 84th minute and that was all the game could further produce.
Aduana climb to 4th with the 2-1 win while Inter Allies stay bottom of the league log.
