Dwarfs outshine AshantiGold in 2-1 victory

Ebusua Dwarfs showed resilience to grind out a 2-1 win over AshantiGold in their Ghana Premier League match-day 12 clash at Cape Coast Stadium Wednesday afternoon.

In a fiercely contested first half, it was Crabs skipper Dennis Nkrumah Korsah who led by example by putting his side in front right on the 45th-minute mark.

The Miners chased the game in the second half and also had captain for the day Hans Kwofie scoring to cancel out the lead on 75 minutes.

However, the visitors’ joy was short-lived.

George Asamoah restored the lead for Dwarfs just three minutes later with a header.

The hosts held on to win 2-1 – a first in their last four games.

AshantiGold’s Kwadwo Amoako received a red card for confronting the referee after the final whistle was blown.

The victory pushes Ebusua Dwarfs up to 11th in the league table with 16 points, just one behind the Miners.
