5-0, WAFA thump Liberty at Sogakope

WAFA SC produced an incredible second-half display to claim a 5-0 victory over Liberty Professionals on match-day eleven of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The Academy boys failed to score in the first half, facing tough defensive play but looked strong in the second department to thump their opponents 5-0.

Head coach Prosper Nartey chose Augustine Boakye and Sampson Agyapong while Bolivar Owusu kept his spot in the goal.

For Liberty, George Amoako captained the side while Abraham Wayo still remains a usual member of coach David Ocloo’s lineup.

Wafa endured a poor first half but looked better after the break, grabbing the lead on the 51st minute from a corner kick.

Konadu Yiadom headed down Sampson Agyapong’s well-struck corner kick for the game’s opening goal.

The second goal arrived on the 67th minute via Marvin Owusu. The youngster was making his debut for Wafa.

Two minutes later, Sampson Agyapong finished off the move and scored with an assist from Augustine Boakye for the game’s third goal.

It got worse for Liberty. Augustine Boakye, after the assist, netted his first in the game in the 75th minute.
