Dwarfs fight back to draw at home to WAFA

Ebusua Dwarfs fought back to salvage a 1-1 draw against WAFA SC in a 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day 10 clash at Cape Coast Sports Stadium Sunday afternoon.

It was the visitors who struck first to win the first half but Dwarfs came back stronger in the second department of the match to grab a point.

Striker Daniel Owusu broke the deadlock for WAFA in the 16th minute after receiving a pass from Samed and slotted it perfectly past goalkeeper Wiredu Mensah.

The Crabs battled for the leveller but had to wait till the second half.

Albert Hammond scored from a free-kick In the 51st minute right in front of the box.

Dwarfs are 13th on the league table now while WAFA are 8th.

The Academy Boys will play Liberty Professionals in their next game. Dwarfs, on the other hand, head to Dormaa to play against Aduana Stars.
