Samuel Tetteh joins St. Pölten in return to Austrian Bundesliga

Ghana forward, Samuel Tetteh has secured a return to the Austrian topflight on loan with SKN St. Pölten.

The deal for the 24-year-old – contracted to champions Red Bull Salzburg – runs until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Tetteh, who has 16 goals and 11 assists in 66 Bundesliga outings (from February 2018 to July 2020), most recently enjoyed a 4-month loan spell in the MLS with partner club New York Red Bulls after previously spending two seasons with LASK Linz.

Georg Zellhofer, the Sports Director for St. Pölten told the club’s website:

“We want to be even more unpredictable for the upcoming tasks on the offensive. With Samuel, we have now found a player who, with his technique and speed, brings the attributes we were looking for.

“In addition, he has already proven his skills in the league several times. Therefore we are happy that we can welcome him to our ranks until the end of the season.”

In the coming months, Tetteh will appear in the number 99 shirt for the NV Arena outfit who are 7th in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Samuel Tetteh has a contract with Red Bull Salzburg which ends May 31, 2022.
